I mean, you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in the city center. The Royal Palace? Easy stroll. Opera House? Twenty minutes on foot through some really lovely streets.

What I love most is that couples seem to get it — they consistently rate the location super highly, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about being right in the historic heart of things, with all those charming cobblestone streets just outside your door.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this perfect blend of Scandinavian minimalism and actual comfort — sometimes those two things don’t go together, but they nailed it here. The windows are generous (important in a city where daylight is precious), and the beds are exactly what you’d hope for after a day of exploring. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you actually need them, and a bathroom that feels spacious even when it’s not huge.

Morning Fuel

The continental breakfast deserves its own mention because, well, it’s Norway — breakfast can make or break your budget here. They do it right with quality ingredients and enough variety to keep you satisfied. I actually found myself looking forward to it each morning, which says something.

The coffee is proper strong (thank goodness), and they have those little touches that show they understand what travelers need to start their day properly. Plus, the breakfast area has this nice natural light that makes even early mornings feel less brutal.

You’re not paying for flashy amenities you don’t need — you’re getting exactly what makes a city stay memorable.   Upon entering the space, you already exactly know that your stay will be a comfortable one. The layout and design is fantastic, and D.S. durga amenities were a nice touch! Check out Michelin Star restaurant, Savage, and its sister conceptjj, Null Null, as well!

  The room was HUGE and the bed super comfortable. The provided toiletries were also really boujee (DS & Durga). The room key is on your phone and you can check in before you arrive to Oslo, which was really helpful. The staff that I did speak to were really nice and super helpful.
