Hotel suite apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel suite apartment on Kirkeveien, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually more like stepping into a residential building in one of Oslo‘s most coveted neighborhoods — which, honestly, is exactly what it is. The three-star rating might seem modest, but don’t let that fool you. This place has something special going on, especially if you’re the type who prefers feeling like a local rather than a tourist passing through.
The Frogner Advantage
You know what really sets this place apart? The location in Frogner is absolutely unbeatable. I mean, couples are rating it 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time in the area, I totally get why. You’re walking distance from Vigeland Park — perfect for morning jogs or lazy afternoon strolls among those famous sculptures. The Royal Palace is just down the road, and the boutique shopping along Bogstadveien is right there when you need it. What I love most is how you can grab groceries at the nearby Rema 1000 and actually cook something instead of eating out every meal.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup is where this place really shines. Each unit feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed Oslo flat rather than a standard hotel room. The kitchen is properly equipped — not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual cooking space with everything you need. I found myself making coffee in the morning and heating up leftovers from dinner, which honestly made the whole stay feel more relaxed and authentic.
Neighborhood Life
What struck me most about staying here was how quickly you slip into the rhythm of the neighborhood. There’s a great little restaurant called Frognerseteren just a short trip away if you want something special, but honestly, some of my best meals came from the local spots within walking distance. The tree-lined streets around Kirkeveien are perfect for evening walks, and you’ll notice how quiet everything gets after the workday ends — it’s residential Oslo at its most peaceful.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating and that 9.2 location score from recent guests really tell the story here. This isn’t about fancy amenities or concierge services — it’s about having your own space in one of Oslo’s best neighborhoods. Parking can be a bit tricky in Frogner (like anywhere in central Oslo), but the public transport connections are excellent, so you might not even need a car. What you get instead is the chance to live like an Oslo resident for a few days, with all the independence that comes with having your own place. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having a proper apartment to come home to after exploring the city.
Early hotels booking in Oslo secures Northern Lights excursions, fjord-side Christmas markets, and Michelin chef tables.
